🇩🇪Schloss Bürresheim (🇬🇧Bürresheim Castle) is a medieval castle near Sankt Johann in the German state Rheinland-Pfalz. It is located in a region called Eifel that Germany and France fought about for a long long time. The castle in Bürresheim is one of the few castles in that region that has never been destroyed or conquered – despite all the wars and conflicts in the 17th and 18th century. The castle itself was built in the 12th century.
This castle has been used as film location several times. For example, it can be seen in “Indiana Jones and the last crusade).
